Italia - Bosnia Erzegovina

On March 17, the agreement between Italy and Bosnia and Herzegovina regarding the mutual recognition of driving licenses will come into force, which will be valid for five years, until 2030. This information was communicated in the circular of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport published on March 3.

Starting from that date, it will be possible to automatically convert valid driving licenses issued in the two countries, according to an equivalence table that establishes the correspondences between the categories of Serbian and Italian licenses.

The licenses included in the conversion also include professional ones for the transport of goods, such as C, CE, C1 and C1E.

The holder of a driving license can request its conversion only after having acquired residency in the country in which he wishes to carry out the conversion and only if the license is currently valid. Furthermore, at the time of submitting the application for conversion, the holder of a Bosnian license must have resided in Italy for less than six years.
