From September 2025 the ELO logistics envelope is mandatory

France: from September 2025 the logistics envelope for import-export between the EU and the United Kingdom is mandatory

New regulations for French customs. From 1 September 2025, the use of the "logistics envelope" will become mandatory for the import-export of goods between the European Union and the United Kingdom. Currently, the logistics envelope is optional, but with the introduction of the ELO – Enveloppe Logistique Obligatoire system, which will be available from 1 April 2025, it will become mandatory from 1 September. This tool allows you to combine multiple customs declarations into a single document, both for import and export, simplifying and accelerating the transit of goods at the border, particularly in the area between Calais and Dover.
